Chances are there wasn't collaboration, communication, and checkpoints, there wasn't a process agreed upon or specified with the granularity required. It's content strategy gone awry right from the start. Forswearing the use of Lorem Ipsum wouldn't have helped, won't help now. It's like saying you're a bad designer, use less bold text, don't use italics in every other paragraph. True enough, but that's not all that it takes to get things back on track.
The villagers are out there with a vengeance to get that Frankenstein
You made all the required mock ups for commissioned layout, got all the approvals, built a tested code base or had them built, you decided on a content management system, got a license for it or adapted:
- The toppings you may chose for that TV dinner pizza slice when you forgot to shop for foods, the paint you may slap on your face to impress the new boss is your business.
- But what about your daily bread? Design comps, layouts, wireframes—will your clients accept that you go about things the facile way?
- Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever.
- Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
- Websites in professional use templating systems.
- Commercial publishing platforms and content management systems ensure that you can show different text, different data using the same template.
- When it's about controlling hundreds of articles, product pages for web shops, or user profiles in social networks, all of them potentially with different sizes, formats, rules for differing elements things can break, designs agreed upon can have unintended consequences and look much different than expected.
This is quite a problem to solve, but just doing without greeking text won't fix it. Using test items of real content and data in designs will help, but there's no guarantee that every oddity will be found and corrected. Do you want to be sure? Then a prototype or beta site with real content published from the real CMS is needed—but you’re not going that far until you go through an initial design cycle.

This cobbler mix was a pleasant surprise. I wanted to make the kind of cobbler I remember from my childhood. I bought this cobbler mix and used cherry pie filling. By using 2 boxes of mix, you end up with plenty of the cake. Going by the box directions, be sure to double up on your ingredients, When using 2 boxes, I cooked the cobbler in a 9 inch square baking dish. It turns out perfect every time.

This is perfect for that homemade dessert taste and look. I love the way the brown sugar sprinkles rise to the top. It’s quite simple to make and delicious. It’s especially good with fresh berries. I like to use Texas dewberries. Oh, and don’t forget the ice cream!

Sweet Southern Comfort Cobbler
My husband had been craving a good old-fashioned cobbler, and this Louisiana Fish Fry Fruit Cobbler Mix truly hit the mark. I wanted something simple but still full of that homemade charm, and this delivered beautifully.
I paired it with Duncan Hines Comstock Peach Pie Filling, and goodness gracious, it turned out just lovely. The peaches were rich and syrupy, and that cobbler topping baked up golden and tender with just a touch of crisp around the edges. The aroma alone had us both hovering in the kitchen.
The sweetness was just right, not too much, and it really let those peaches shine. Served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it felt like the kind of dessert you’d proudly set out for Sunday supper.
This mix makes it so easy to put together something comforting and special without a lot of fuss. It satisfied that cobbler craving perfectly, and I’ll absolutely be keeping this on hand for the next time we need a little taste of home.

Keep this in your pantry!!!
Our go to for a quick dessert. We add diced peaches in the cup and high quality butter. It’s so simple to make and the texture and flavor is so good. We purchase three boxes at a time.

This cobbler mix is truly special—it’s the closest I’ve ever found to my grandma’s secret recipe. Absolutely perfect and undeniably the best!

I was afraid of what this would do once I baked it. The dry mixture looks like it has course sand in it. I followed directions and it came out fine. I’m going to have to buy it again just to be sure it’s supposed to look that way.
